Dr. Brian Brumsickle was an eager and energetic teacher back in 1996-2001. Dr. Brumsickle taught ELL, 10th-grade History, and Literature. Dr. Brumsickle received his BA degree in Secondary Education from Eastern Washington University, his MA in Teaching from School for International Training in Brattleboro Vermont, his Principal’s license from Washington State University, his Superintendent license from City University-Seattle, and his Doctorate from Northcentral University in San Diego in Educational Leadership.
Since leaving SFS, Dr. Brumsickle has worked as a HS Principal at the American International School Dhaka and the American School of Warsaw. Dr. Brumsickle has also served as Head of School in Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Korea and is currently the Head of School at Stonehill International School in Bengaluru (Bangalore), India.
While at SFS, Dr. Brumsickle coached Girls Varsity Basketball and JV Girls Volleyball. In the year 2000, the SFS Girls Varsity Basketball team were APAC Champions, and in 2001 were runner-up. Dr. Brumsickle remembers his team’s hard work ethic, teamwork, commitment to the IB program, studies and each other, and dignity on-and-off the floor fondly. Go Crusaders!
