Jenny James

Jenny James graduated from Southern Oregon University in 1995 with a BS in Communications and worked as the Director of Youth Ministries at her local church from 1996-2004. During those years she finished her Certificate in Youth Ministry from Fuller Seminary in 2000. She then earned her Masters in Teaching from Willamette University in 2006 and came to fill a one-year sabbatical opening as the Health and Religion Teacher at Seoul Foreign High School for the 2006-07 school year.

After returning to the US she taught in Portland, OR for two years at which time the Religion position opened up at SFHS again. She was offered and accepted the position as Religion teacher in 2009. Upon returning to Seoul, High School counselor and tennis coach Joon Myong asked her to co-coach the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams with him. Together they led the tennis teams to five consecutive KAIAC championships and multiple APAC championships.

In 2014 her son Noah, was born with End Stage Renal Disease, so Jenny returned to the US to get him his nephrology care. In 2016 he received his transplant and both mom and son are doing well back home in Oregon where Jenny teaches Math and Noah attends 1st grade at The Siskiyou School in Ashland, OR.
