Patti Richmond graduated from Springfield College in 1980. She went on to teach PE in Houston Texas for three years followed by teaching PE at SFS from 1983 until 1986.
During that time Patti coached girls tennis, basketball and volleyball. Edie Rader and Patti also supervised the cheerleading squad in 1983.
In June 1986, Patti returned to the states to earn her masters degree in school counseling. In 1989 she was asked to return to SFS to be the first SFS elementary school counselor. Patti was in this role until June of 1992. During this time Patti coached varsity girls basketball and is still good friends with former point guard, Laura Underwood. In 1990 Laura helped spur the team on to the finals of the Far East tournament. Unfortunately they lost in the final game.
Currently, Patti is a high school guidance counselor at a public school in Western Massachusetts. She hopes to retire at the end of the 2021 school year. Patti enjoys gatherings with former SFS students and staff.
